No. The app is free to download and the core record-keeping is free to use. Advanced features are covered by an optional membership, so you can set your cats up first and decide later.
Android distribution outside mainland China currently runs through the APK on the official site. The iOS build is on the App Store, where you can also search for "FanMeowy Cattery Manager".
They stay with your account, not with the handset. Sign in on the new device and your cats, litters and records are there; keep the phone number or email you signed up with reachable.
Older records can follow at your own pace; what matters is that the next litter has somewhere to land.
